In 2023, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes <\/em>adaptation brought fans back to the universe Collins\u2019s built all those years ago grossing over $300 million in the box office. Now, on November 20, 2026, fans will get to share that experience again with Sunrise on the Reaping.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n The adaptation will feature Joseph Zada as Haymitch Abernathy, a tribute in the 50th Hunger Games. Because this game is a quarter quell, there are double the number of tributes. Haymitch has to navigate the dangerous Hunger Games arena in order to win.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n Expected in 2027 <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n As a way to get over her writer\u2019s block, January swaps genres with author and neighbor Gus Everett. This sparks the beginning of a romance that will have viewers on the edge of their seats.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Emily Henry has gained more popularity on with the rise of BookTok and hasn\u2019t slowed down since. It\u2019s finally time for her first adult novel, Beach Read,<\/em> to have its adaptation. While it doesn\u2019t have an official release date, Phoebe Dynevor, most known as Daphne Bridgerton in the Bridgerton <\/em>adaptation, is set to play protagonist January Andrews in this fun contemporary romance. Yulin Kuang is directing, who recently adapted Henry\u2019s novel People We Meet on Vacation, <\/em>which was a huge success with Netflix audiences. <\/p>\n\n\n Expected in 2027<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Sticking with the romance themes, Chloe Walsh\u2019s bestselling Boys of Tommen<\/em> series was recently announced to be in the works for an Amazon Prime series. The first season will adapt the first two books in the series, Binding 13<\/em> and Keeping 13<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n This book follows Shannon Lynch, the new girl at the private school, Tommen College in Ballylaggin, Ireland. While there, she meets the star rugby player Johnny Kavanaugh. Boys of Tommen<\/em> beautifully captures this beautiful romance while juggling darker topics like domestic violence. There\u2019s been no cast, but audiences can expect a 2027 release date.<\/p>\n\n\n Expected in 2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Love Hypothesis<\/em> by bestselling author, Ali Hazelwood, is expected to hit screens sometime in 2026. Lili Reinhart, known as Betty Cooper in Riverdale, <\/em>will star as Olive Smith.\u00a0 Dr. Adam Carlsen will be played by Tom Bateman, known Bouc on Murder on the Orient Express<\/em> and its sequels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Olive decides to date Adam to prove to her friend that she is over her ex. Besides fake dating, this romance features fun tropes such as forced proximity. Anyone who loves a STEM-romance should keep their eyes out in the near future. There\u2019s lots of banter and wit, perfect for people who love a good time.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n Expected May 13, 2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n In recent times, hockey romances such as Heated Rivalry <\/em>are gaining popularity, and Elle Kennedy\u2019s The Deal <\/em>is no exception. This television series will premiere on Prime Video on May 13, 2026. This sports romance stars Ella Bright who is known for the role of Darrell Rivers in the series Malory Towers<\/em> playing Hannah, and Belmont Cameli, recognized for his role as Eli in Along for the Ride, <\/em>playing Garrett in the first season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Hannah agrees to tutor hockey player Garrett in a mutually beneficial agreement to fake date, Hannah hoping to get eh attention of her crush. This romance plays on fun cliches while simultaneously balancing personal relationships and real struggles. Hockey romance fans will definitely want to save the date for this adaptation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s going to be exciting to see all of these adaptations come to life. This list features different romance tropes for everyone, or if you prefer something more dystopian, Sunrise on the Reaping<\/em> will indulge that fix excellently. If you\u2019re like me, I\u2019d suggest reading all of these wonderful books before watching their adaptations.
